Adele Lawrence, passed away December 2nd at 100 years of age. Born in Metcalfe County, Kentucky on July 28, 1917 to James and Pearl Duke. She was preceded by her siblings, Howard, Helen, James, and Neal Duke. Adele was the widow of Edmond Lawrence.
She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia (Jack) Woolen and Cynthia (Gary) Chandler; grandchildren, Gregory (Kathy) Woolen, Todd Woolen, Bradley Woolen, and Amanda (Chris) White; great grandchildren, Justin (Katie) Woolen, Candace Cornelius, Xavier, Kaylee, and Ethan White; and great-great grandchildren, Aspen and Asher Cornelius.
Adele was an accomplished seamstress of custom wedding gowns and business attire. She served alongside her husband at Lawrence Securities as Vice President. As a Jehovah’s Witness, her lifelong enduring passion was helping others gain an appreciation for godly principles thru bible study.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on December 23, 2017 at 3:00 P.M.; with visitation from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. held at the Garfield park Congregation Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (West Bldg), 4809 E. Raymond St., Indianapolis, IN 46203.
