W. Frankie Simnick
January 21, 1932 - January 28, 2018
W. Frankie Simnick, 86, of Indianapolis passed away on January 28, 2018. She was born January 21, 1932 to Oswald and Reatha (Evans) Thompson in Gibson County, Indiana.
She attended Mt. Olympus High School, was an instructor for Four Star Beauty College, inspector of beauty salons for the state of Indiana, and the owner of Golden Touch Beauty Salon in Southport from 1971-1986. She said that “doing hair wasn’t just a job, but a social time” for her.
She enjoyed gambling and was considered a “lucky lady” by many. She loved road trips to any casinos, but especially her “special super bowl” trips to Las Vegas.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Charles) Campbell, Sherri (Jim) Weikel, Susie (David) Stuckey; grandchildren, Matthew Campbell, Adam Campbell, Jeremy Bednarski; great-grandchildren, Megan, Kara, Fiona, Liam Campbell; and her beloved dog Chloe Claire.
The family asks that in honor of Frankie donations be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis. There will be a service for Frankie held at 7520 Madison Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227 on February 2, 2018. Visitation will from 11:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. with service to follow. Her final place of rest will be Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana. Arrangements were entrusted to Simplicity funeral and Cremation Care.
